The inference is that ANY SCAMMER can set up a yahoo or googlebox--no disrespect to yourself of course===I use yahoo myself, however its good to hide behind if you want to run a scam.

Check phone prefix--how do you do that--not tried before--what will it tell me? Can I be sure its genuine--in any case its bound to be someone flogging something and I dont get free mobile calls.

I have had other emails like this to get through the spam box--but they are all trying to flog something I dont want or need.

Just wondered if any dj has received similar--I even had--work waiting--huh--some chance eh?

I must be missing something, but someone contacting you off a gmail email address and asking you to ring their iphone...and you think its a scam.

How do clients normally contact you or deal with you, by pigeon? ;)

Thousands of enquiries by email, phone, text and I phone NEVER one like this--from our experience over 10 years NO ONE makes an approach like this in our business==have you had some?

Should I be wrong and they phone up and book ---seeing as they are so enthusiastic they must do surely-- I will hold my hands up and say you were right.

I wouldnt go down to William Hills and check the odds;)

I agree with you K I have had similar ones where they have asked me to ring a number only to find out after googling it that is is a known telephone marketer or scam. I have clients who may enquire with an email and then decide that it may be better to contact in the flesh over details but certain signs do make alarm bells ring.

Ive had a couple where i can think of the header/subject being along those lines and a request to give them a ring to go through details and quote.
