Well it's refreshing to hear your honesty - don't let it knock your confidence as you obviously have a lot of skills you can't get out of a book.

I won't even go into what!
The subjects I picked were too hard.
I just need to be pro active so I'm not sitting around next year.
I may do some voluntary work - perhaps at the BBC if I'm lucky.

The problem with this line of work is it can be very distracting and not an ideal job if you are taking education courses. Probably why so many young DJ's leave and then come back after they have finished takeing exams etc.
Don't ne disheartened results are not final there are summer courses to allow retakes of them that kind of thing.
I myself am planning to go back to uni after nearly 15 years since I left to further my education. I figure If I can mange it at my age you should have no problem.

I did really well at school, and had great potential to go into further education, but I was also distracted by DJing, drinking and of course the need to earn money 'now', rather than earning more money later - which is one of the big motivations of further education.
Never mind, there are other opportunities available to you, along whichever path you choose to take. What I will say though, is that nothing will land on your lap, you reap what you sow.

Take that chance.
I failed my first year of A-Levels and was ejected only to have my form tutor fight to get me back in.
Glad she did as without it I wouldn't be where I am today.

It's not the end of the world, Charlie. I did worse than that when I took my A-Levels in 1992.
However, with the benefit of hindsight, I'd encourage you to throw all you can at education. A non-vocational degree (I'm talking sociology, history etc., rather than degrees that lead directly to work like law, medicine, nursing etc.) may seem like it won't open many doors these days, but not having one may well close doors in the eyes of an employer.

Out of interest why did you take those subjects? Did you have a career in mind or did you think they would be easy?
