Im currently away with my family for a weekend fri-mon weekend camping. Got the tent up and everything up ok.

The tent is a Relum 7 man frame tent. They bought it about 13 years ago brand new. I was only 14 when they bought it. Over the years its been a brilliant tent.

Over the years the tents been great never let any water in or leaked even in really bad weather. On the first night friday it chucks it down with heavy rain and extremely windy Got out of bed and and knelt in a pool of water on the groundsheet.

switch the light on and i noticed why it had leaked. the top part of the door was wide open. The zip on the main door has broken someone else has been through it and broke it.

So of course we could zip the door halfway up. So of course.... safety pins
a sheet and of course gold old gaffa tape stuck the door nicely for the rest of the weekend. The tent has a side door which we are using temporarily for this weekend.

Looking at another tent. One of those big 8/10 Man dome or tunnel tent. probably Outwell or Vango

Saw one of these http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-corado-8-8-berth-tent-p146902 a couple of weeks ago when I was camping with my 6 year old daughter it Weymouth thought it looked really nice.
Maybe we should do a DJs camp for a few days at some point, could be good fun.

Been looking at a High gear kalahari which is a big one. The outwell tent i think is identical to that hi-gear one probably re-badged.

I like camping its good fun. Ive got a smaller Gelert Ottawa tent which is spot on for 4 people.

But will be looking at something like that one or that one you linked to. Currently Thinking about doing 2 weeks camping next summer at Vauxhall Holiday Park near Great Yarmouth. So will need a big tent.

We've got a Vango 8 man tunnel thingy. It's a cracker. We've had it for about 3yrs now and it's survived a weeks camping in a Welsh summer :D - i.e. 7 days of rain - without any leaks at all. My only criticism of it is that it could do with a porch (but you can buy them too).

I had a look on the internet. Vango are very good tents. Ive been looking on the net and found a

Outwell Arkansas 7 ive been looking at. It looks the best one in terms of space and you can get extra addon bits for it as well. Ive found it for a good price £100.00 cheaper than anywhere else at £549

One of the families on the campsite next door had one of these and he let us have a look inside. Its very spacious inside.

I can vouch for Vango tents, I have nothing but great experience with them.

I got one of these (http://www.vango.co.uk/tents/orchy-600.html) a couple of years ago and it survived some pretty hellish highland conditions no problem. Not even a drop of rain on the inside.
