I played alongside a band on Friday night in a marqee and was very impressed with their sound. They were using 2 x JBL PRX512M's and they were mighty impressive. I know that sometimes bands believe every gig is Glastonbury so bring more amps and speakers than the set of X factor. But this group were following my minimalist approach :D

Anybody have experience of these? They're not cheap at around £800 each but sounded lovely.

I've attached a pic of the band aswell, showing that sometimes bands don't take over ;)

look quite like my QSC k12s. What's the point in angling them, they aren't even that high on their stands?

the usual reason for angling speakers down is to minimise the effect of reflective surfaces in the venue that may effect the sound - ie reflections etc.

that said, in that picture, the speakers are now facing the one reflective surface in the venue - the dancefloor....but that wont be a problem if it is full!
