I gotta Feeling that tonight is going to be a good night...... or at least I hope so - I've been very unlucky to have a run of boring weddings recently!
The type where everyones complains and nobody dances, selfish requests etc.....

We all get them now and again but I've had 4 in a row in the same venue and it's got to the point where I have started to doubt myself :/

Nevertheless I went up the venue this morning to set up and its looking good (going to put pics up when I get home) and Im in the right frame of mind - so :luck: fingers crossed - Tonight's gonna be a gud un!

Enjoy everyone :flog: :riceandrob: :DJ: :Rock on: :party2: :beer3: :p

No problem :) :)
Towards the end of my stint doing quiz/discos at my local it went downhill and it's not a nice feeling (landlord got lazy stopped putting whats on board outside so no one knew when I was djing).
People in general are pretty supportive on here though mate :) :D

It happens it seems recently more than ever. Especially the selfish ones when you say other do not like it and they reply with expletives about what the others can do etc.
Yep had my fair share of those lol. Then one day you will have a perfect disco everyone dancing polite customers and a big round of applause at the end. Unfortunately people forget that thanks is free but still means so much to the recipient.
I'm sure your doing fine and always remember that if it will clear the floor point out to ten crowd who asked for it then fade it out with something better.

Stick with both Daley....

You have a really nice following for your business and some great marketing ideas. Its a well paid job as you have to cope with never knowing whats going to happen next.;) ;)

Not going to comment on the Forum too much.Suffice to say sometimes what folk say in this medium gets misconstrued. You're fine to post your Disco related ponderings...your personal ponderings are best kept to yourself....:beer1: :beer1: :beer1:

Really? lolYes, really

I asked for advice a little while ago - and I got none - just people disagreeing lolIf you really received no advice whatsoever (and without knowing what thread you are talking about I can't really comment on specifics), did you possibly consider the fact that no-one felt qualified to advise you on the subject?

...as for disagreeing, well, there wouldn't be very much of interest on here if everyone had exactly the same opinions, would there?

A huge percentage of the membership go well out of their way to help and offer assistance to other members - and I'm not just talking about offering that help to members they have 'known' via the forum for a long time.

In addition, the site owners and staff also give up a lot of time and put in a lot of effort to keep this site running smoothly, so comments like the one you made above really do annoy me.

You may think it's a 'throw away' comment, but dismissing the site and it's members in such a way is hardly going to have people wanting to give you any help or advice in the future is it?

The 'nest' lady (whatever that means) is one of the co-owners of this site.

And the 'someone' who has upset me is you.

Well, from your previous post, it's obvious that you don't think that the membership of this forum has anything to offer you seeing as we're so useless and un-supportive - so BYE!

PS: Thank you for the support, Simon :) - much appreciated
