Hi there.

Looking for some half decent drivers for my LD Dave system

http://www.ld-systems.com/44-1-ld-dave-12.html

I want something that sounds good and is over rated so I cannot blow them up. ;)

I ran them them with my active amp :p

You've only just bought the :Censored: things! Yesterday you were raving about them, now you want to change the drivers. Make your mind up!

From the less than clear post Steve, I'm assuming he's blown the top cabs by running them from another amp. I'm also confused about size, cos the system linked to has 6 1/2" drivers, and he wants 8".  Or does he want 8" cabs, as opposed to drivers?
If so

go back to the manufacturer and get the correct replacement - and then run them as intended!

If it isn't loud enough for you, then you need a different system. Unfortunately you cant just stick in a bigger driver and expect it to sound correct - particularly when it is a powered system where there is a close electro-mechanical relationship between the amplifier and loudspeaker ( eq, impedance, power handing, mechanical limits, etc etc)

Sorry posted that mid gig. Not very clear.

I am using my rcf's with the sub and it all runs great! I used the small LD ones with my amp the other day as i did a gradual change from my normal rig to just the LD one.

Yes probably are 6 1/2" drivers. I will take them apart tomorrow and check.

Thanks for the help.
