1) Did Angela and her team achieve a coordinated fireworks to music display? Or did they just blow something up?
2) How much longer will Excalibur be nice to Rob and Penfold?
3) Did Darren strike a lucrative deal with that prestigious Hotel Chain,
and did he have to abandon his firmly held beliefs and principles to do so?
4) Will Excalibur successfully evade all those folk he's rashly promised a drink to at BPM, and keep his money where it belongs, ie in his pocket?
5) Will Deckstar have a shave for BPM, or will he go for the designer stubble?
6) Will we be able to understand the Scottish visitors, or should we make a banner for Shaun? " Seventeen pints of bitter please, it's my round "
7) Will it stop raining, and let me take these blasted potatoes up, so I can go to BPM?
8) What's the answer to life, the Universe, and everything?

1. Yes: Even the client decided in the end that the fireworks company he originally booked were complete numpties, and didn't know their posterior from their arm joint. As a result, he cancelled them and booked someone else instead, who were really nice and on the ball and, after a friendly conversation on the phone some time before-hand, they and Steve worked very nicely together on the night to produce a (by all accounts) great show for the wedding.
7. Steve dug up the last of Mum's potato crop today :p
EDIT - PS: OK... looks like I was a slow typist tonight

Ah. So he's obviously well versed in the art. How does he fancy six weeks in God's County, ensuring the continuing availability of Roast Warthog and Squirrel crisps?

Probably until I've finished helping you with your new kit.
;)
6) Will we be able to understand the Scottish visitors
This is something I've been wondering about. I guess it all depends on their particular accent, as a cousin's ex-husband was from Scotland (although I'm not sure which part) and I couldn't understand a word he said, whereas I can understand our own Gary (Soundmaster) perfectly. Maybe we should have a translator on hand, just in case.

You don't stand a chance if they're from Glasgow...it's another world within Scotland :D :P :D

If I come (and it's a big if) then I can do that :)
Lived up there for a while, and worked all over every nook and cranny for about 10 years, so there's not much I struggle with :o

Oooooh Rob, what a terribly cynical thing to say!! ( Quite possibly totally accurate though. :o :o :D :D )

Well it appears the only unanswered on is: 5), concerning Neil's facial adornment. Let's put a couple more up then.
9) Will MDD members successfully recognise each other? Last year was notable for Rob and someone else probably standing back to back texting each other to ask where they were. ;) :D :D :D :D
I myself am working on a couple of items of apparel to aid recognition. ;)
10) Will Paul ( Spirits High) remember that he set a caption competition, and wandered off and left it unattended?
Will Darren ever announce the winner of

post #937 onwards?
11) Are we saying goodbye to certain members as fully fledged DJ's, or simply Au Revoir? I retired once, and since found that:
" You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"
12) Does anybody except me have questions that are keeping them awake at night because they don't have the answers?

I think we should all be issued with an I-Spy book of MDD members so we can tick members off as we spot them. I'll be setting up a hide (well I say a hide, I'm wrapping myself in a starcloth) near the Denon stand.

11) This one's not coming back, I can assure you. I've done my time. I've personally liked very little of the music of the last 20 years, and this is what today's clients are wanting, naturally. I can't see myself coming back in 20 years time, assuming that the music from today onwards is any better.
But you'll still find me playing out a few tunes at the Christmas Fair, MC'ing the various Carnival events and annoying you lot on here :)

Oh mate, that's the best Idea I've heard for ages. I'll have to look into that. :D :D

Vectis, many many years ago, a Teacher gave us hints on answering multiple choice questions in exams. It was not to select answers with absolutes in them, such as zero. I have often remembered it, and Mr Ian Fleming also agrees with the sentiment.
"Never say never". ;) :D :D All the best, anyway.

Why doesn't someone ring the events company who's managing the Pope thing on Monday next week and try to get a job lot of yellow umbrellas?
Sorted :)

In all seriousness, I think we should have got a few dozen badges made up with "MDD" on them, so we could just look out for other people wearing them at BPM. Simple!

Or meet up in the bar, where we should have some sort of MDD sign (as per the BPM thread) & a permanent presence
