Would boost your search results and maybe get you some more work?

Does anyone list their local venues on their website with a name and number?

I personally don't see the point.

I've seen a few disco websites with long lists of venues, and don't think it really adds any value.

What IS important, however, when answering enquiries for venues you know is to tell the enquirer that you know the venue due to having worked there on a number of occasions (I also list the suites I've worked in when the venue has more than one), as it helps to put them at ease when their DJ already knows the venue.

In my experience the very rare occasional "win" you might achieve by having someone land on your site when searching for the venue is more than offset by the "losses" you'll sustain from frustrated folks who'll make a mental note not to deal with you for distracting them from their search.

Negotiated reciprocal links with a few regular and trusted venues are worth having, as any claimed relationship will be backed up by the venue, adding to your credence. Be careful with the keywords so that you associate 'disco' or 'entertainment' along with the venue name, and don't try to "steal" clicks from the venue name alone. And if you value your relationship with these venues, do not ever try adwords or similar using their branding.

I've tried both over the years and can vouch for the latter.
