I did a christening this Sunday just gone at GMB social club Mount Road Levenshulme.
Time 1pm - 6pm
Easy load in (bit of a walk though), stage was massive lots of room.
People started to arrive quite a lot of kids mind you started off with chart stuff.
Kids were asking for some good stuff too katy Perry, Alexandra Burke, day events can be quite hard as in getting people going what do you think?

I dont do many but i did a christening recently and it was good background music, chart stuff. People were enjoying them music but it was mostly at a low level so they could talk.

There were a few nan and toddler dancers (cue. Peter kay stooping dance).

I've done one or two daytime functions over the years, and they just don't feel right.

Give me an evening function anytime.

I get quite a few christenings and I quite enjoy them not least because I get the chance to have a drink of my own when I'm finished!

I do a few for our local Polish centre.

Literally, two mackies and a couple of cans behind me. Really quiet blackground music for 2 hours. Easy £100.

I did a Christening in Brinnington Stockport a few weeks back, the booking was the first of 8 Christening bookings I have for the rest of this year.

It is so easy to get the grannies and kids dancing I must say I love them, easiest money you will ever earn.

Plus it leaves me free in the evenings for a drink or to squeeze in another booking.

I dont get too many christenings.

To be honest i hate them and usually outprice myself. Afterall, most people expect a discount because its a daytime...and they want you from 12 til 6 (which is longer than most of my actual proper disco bookings).

Sids welcome to them.

I don't do christenings for the simple fact i don't want to be employed as a childminder while the parents are getting drunk at the bar
