Hi all,

Just finished a meeting with a customer for a function next friday (08/10/10). It's a Black Tie Event for a 50th Birthday with a 60s, 70s, 80s theme with a few 90s and current tunes thrown in. I thought I would post up the list of requests that the lady gave me. She also said that the age range of the guests will be late 30's to early 60's.
It's a 7.30pm - 01.00am event.

Early part of the evening (first hour).

Great list there Gary with loads of classics.

I notice the main part of the evening is 4.5 hours, although they've given you almost 5.5 hours worth of requests, so it might be worth letting them know that you'll only have time to play about 75% of the stuff they've asked for.

The lady said to me not to worry about playing everything. There are a lot of names on the list that have 4 or 5 requests each so as long as they get a couple of their tunes played it should be ok.

The lady said to me not to worry about playing everything.

Fair enough then.

Looks like you'll have a great night.

its rare to see a list from a client that has so much classic tunes from the late 20th century. A pleasing night it will be

Well, this was last night and if I told you that I was still sitting there this morning buzzing from it at 6.15am then that should tell you it was a classic.

Great night, very nice people and a packed dancefloor all night.

The only bummer was that after the last song, a lady came over and asked if I could play one more. The lights were up and I had just said good night etc. I made the announcement that the song was the last one and I finished 2 minutes after 01.00am which wasn't great. When I told her I couldn't she got all funny with me which was disappointing. Other than that....one of the best nights I have done this year.
