Eq with Frequency analysis

As stated I'm looking for a 1u eq with a frequency display so I can faster setup in problem rooms or situations. I have been looking at the ultra curve pro as it seems to do everything I want.

So question does anybody on here use it and if so what are your opinions? Or if anyone knows of a similar product slightly cheaper please suggest here. I'm not a fan of this make so hoping for other suggestions purely on this reason.

Personally, I think the ultra curve would hinder your setup time rather than improve it.

The reason for that is you would need to setup the EQ first in a problem room; which would take time. Second is that you store the EQ settings, come back to the same room next week and it would probably not sound right, so you would more than likely end up adjusting the EQ again.

Sometimes you need to go slow to get there faster.

The quickest thing to use would be something like the DBX Driverack, which automatically adjusts the EQ to the room. You just plug in the special mic that comes with it, put it in the middle of the room, set the auto EQ function running (runs white/pink whatever noise through the rig). It either does a completely auto thing, or there are preset EQ curves you can set that you like the sound of, and you can recall them and adjust them for any room. Once it's EQ'd unplug the mic and job done. Only takes like 1 min to do.

I use one at school to 'tune' the school's PA for the productions (JBL Tops & Subs w/ Crown Amps) and it works a treat. Got loads of stuff in it from limiters, to compressors, EQs and feedback elimator (one that actually works really well).
