When going out to meet potential clients, what do you take with you for your 'presentation'? Pictures? Customer testimonials? Hard copies, or copies on the laptop? Video? Paperwork? ... you get the idea.

I take myself looking presentable, an uplighter is in the van incase the customer is interested and I can demo it. I take my diary and the booking form to scribble notes on. 99.99% of the time I only do meetings with customers that have already booked with me.

Booking forms, Advertising brochure and business cards, paper and pen.

Everything else is on the ipad: e.g. Keynote presentation, a couple of promo videos, photo albums, scanned customer testimonials etc.

To be honest, I don't take anything to customer meetings.

I've been thinking of making up a binder containing some testimonials, terms & conditions, booking forms, business cards etc for a while now, but considering the small number of meetings I have, the fact that they always book me anyway & the fact that I'll only be doing discos for another three or four years, I keep coming back to the conclusion that it's really not worth it.

A pocket file stuffed full of cards, letters & testimonials. Always leave with the bride or the bride's mother whilst getting the drinks in. Works a treat.

Other than that a laptop with video clips, 3G dongle to set up the request feature on the website there and then (always blows them away).

Plus a clipboard with a standard list of "bullet points" to help navigate through the meeting and make sure no stone is left unturned.

Well, I used to :)

Why not just put everything on the Ipad Shaun? I do and it is becoming ever increasingly useful.

Everything that can be on the iPad is. The likes of Booking form, brochure and business cards are the items that they can take away with them. :)
