Powered amps first.

We use a selection from my modified G-742 through StudioMasters and up to a Dynacord 1000w. All have onboard DSP so echo/reverb is not a problem and all perfect for karaoke. You can pick up something like a Vision 8 for not much cash nowadays. Big Dynacords are still expensive, though.

As for speakers, we are currently mostly using the 200w EVs (can't remember the model names at the the moment) and they work well with all the mixers for the karaoke venues that we do. They are small and light enough to transport easily as some of the venues are up flights of stairs.

But my advice would be to see if you can try before you buy. With any equipment if you don't like the sound, don't buy it. That's the only way to go imo.

Hiya Smoothgrooves
Those MAJ Speakers should be totally brilliant!
MAJ are a little known company that still make
there own good quality BRITISH loudspeakers but
theyre not as cheap as imported Euro-Crap!
They also took over Service and parts for
H&H Amplifiers.(H&H are actually uk amps that CAN be repaired!)
heres the link these guys are great at spare parts
(and have a sence of humor)

Cheers
