I doubt whether you'll get through all of those, Gary, as there is 5 hours worth of music there.

Lots of it isn't my cup of tea, but it's easy to see that most of it is right up your street.

Hope you have a good one.

Rob, sorry mate but I wish people wouldn't state the obvious about the duration of lists etc... I know how long the list is, I know I probably won't get to play everything.

Sorry if that sounds abrupt mate but it's a list of requests, that's all. I doubt if the Bride & Groom will expect everything to be played, go down well etc etc

Cracking list!

I don't know all of them but most. Have a good'n. :beer1:

P.S - I don't think you'll be able to play ALL of them? :p :p :sofa:

I think that reply was indeed abrupt. Sorry for stating the obvious, Gary.

It's not something I wish to repeat, so I won't comment next time you post a list of requests.

Lesson learned, as they say.

About 60% of that list is dance floor friendly, the rest could be played during warm up or buffet etc. Some really good stuff to choose from, I love getting lists like this as it gives me so much scope to be creative.

I'm really surprised there's no 'Stone Roses' in there... try and sneek in 'She Bangs The Drums' right after 'Rocks - Primal Scream'... ;) :approve:

Thanks Tony, totally agree....Some of the slower or more obscure stuff (to the rest of the guests anyway), will be played early on etc..

Rob, I apologised in advance if I sounded abrupt. Why the need to comment on that? Doesn't it do your head in when people state the obvious? Do you not think that I already KNOW that the duration of that list is pretty long?

Don't worry about not commenting....if the only comments about the lists are "Ooh, don't think you'll get all that in", then I won't bother posting any...simple as that.

Doesn't it do your head in when people state the obvious?

No, because I know that what's obvious to me might not be obvious to others, especially when they haven't been dealing with my client.

Do you not think that I already KNOW that the duration of that list is pretty long?

I'm not a mind reader, so I honestly had no idea whether you knew how long the list was, otherwise I wouldn't have made the comment I did.

But that WASN'T my only comment, was it?

Rob, I'd say a number of people looking at the list would know that it is quite a lengthy one and time may well be an issue. You do make me laugh mate because whenever anyone does a list like this, you'll always state how long it is. I knew you would be one of the first to mention it (cue - "Glad I could be of service" or "Sorry I didn't disappoint" comments). I'm waiting for the next one that is listed which only has 2 or 3 songs in it and your comment will be "Ooh, what are you going to fill the other 3hrs 41mins with?"....

It's down to using experience Rob, working out what to play, what not to play etc etc...(I'm sure you know that). Trying to gauge what the guests are liking etc...Trying to play as much as possible from the list but not be too over powering with it incase it is not everyone's cup of tea etc....I knew as soon as I saw it that it could be a mission but the customer isn't insisting that everything gets played.

I welcome comments, that's why I posted it but I would have thought that comments about it's duration etc were obvious and it would be a bit of common sense not to expect to get through the whole lot.

No, you're not a mind reader mate....if you were, you wouldn't be on here would you? You'd be making millions from your talent!

Really good list that Gary - loads to work with and as Tony says some good stuff to bung on during warm up and buffet.

Way too long though, over 5 hours worth there, doubt if you'll get to play it all....................

My review of the gig is now in Good Gig/Bad Gig.

Best song of the night was 'Tainted Love' by Marilyn Manson by a mile!
