just got this interesting request from one of my clients:

"By the way, I wanna sing for my wife and I guess make a fool out of myself but I’ll need your help on this surprise. We’ll probably do this during the
reception.:-) I need to find a song though…something funny but with meaning:-)
Any suggestions?"

i'm kind of stumped.

as a guy who sings regularly sings karaoke i know how important it is that a song's either a) in a key that's easy for you to sing in or b) in a key that's easy for *everyone* to sing in (ie. not a big range)

i'm hoping one of you guys does/goes to karaoke nights and has a brilliant idea for this, preferably something the guy might actually be able to sing easily, and will get a good reaction from the crowd. any suggestions?

ps. this being a wedding, the more cliched and obvious the better!

Let's Stay Together - Al Green? Tough verses but good singalong chorus

all ways look on the bright side of life. Nice and easy to sing and everyone will join in on the chorus.

He could adapt the verses to suit his wife??

Get the version without the swearing.

I had a groom do this as part of his speech and he used...

Lionel Richie & The Commodores - Easy

Google the lyrics! :D

It was a wind-up, I had to take the blame for playing the wrong song before cutting into Kiss, by Prince.

How about Andy Williams - Can't take my eyes off of you

He could starts out basically speaking the lines, then at the chorus letting rip, with probably all the guests joining in. :D
