New Flight/Road Cases - Rollable

Hi all,

Just got a trailer, and I'm in need of 2 rollable flight cases for the lighting. Around 1m in length would be great, and around 0.5m in width and height (internal dimensions). I've found some on Flightcasewarehouse for £159.00 (http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/music/typeproducts2.asp?id=3267-6556)- is this a good price? Can you get them cheaper?

I have the flightcase from flightcase warehouse you have linked Ollie.

It is good quality and I got mine slightly cheaper by foaming it myself and putting the wheels on myself. However I did go and get it in person.

Good Quality and will last. :)

i got a 1.5 m one from Thomann - excellent to say the least.

Make sure they have lockable wheels, or at least two as it will slide about the trailer.

I put the wheels on myself and stuck a big bit of ply inside as they are not very thick.
Best investment ever as everything gets transported on it. :)

Good luck when you get to a set of stairs ollie, I have gone back to smaller cases for just that reason.

I hope so, cause there are a lot of venues round our way you'd end up uploading the cases and carrying the contents in.

I admit it would be lovely to just wheel in a couple of large cases but I think you'll end up finding it isn't practical.

The only large case I have now is the one that holds the plasma screens and a lot of the time I end up having to take the screens out and carry them in one and a time.

Yeah I agree with James on that the venues in our area tend to have poor access or narrow doors with tight turnings I ended up getting rid of my bigger cases and swapped for padded bags and a good flatbed trolley just incase.
Glad I did as well my load in time has actually gone down even though I make more runs in each run is so much easier.

Standard cases plus flatbed trolley. More versatile, and hopefully cheaper.
