View Full Version : Advice on a small(ish) speaker

I loaned one of my JBL eon 15 powered speakers to a friend of mine who was running an event at their club recently.I used a cable and the mic that originally came with the full set up as it had a switch.It went well and now they are looking to buy something of the same ilk that won't break the bank.

My JBL system at the time cost just under £1000 and that's well over their price range.Is there a single powered speaker that you could recommend at a more competitive price?

1 Tapco Thump should do the job has its,own eq mixer cost about £ 240.

I'm in the market for this type of speaker so Googled this product and only came up with Mackie Thump. Is this the same product as, for £499 the pair complete with stands, this is something I'd be seriously looking at.

Yes these are the ones really quite good for the money and good bottom end also not to heavy,have got a couple of pairs in our hire stock been ok to date.

I would also suggest having a look at (and listen to) the W-Audio PSR15A Neo which are lighter than the older PSR15A weighing in at 21kg. The PSR12A Neo also give out a descent sound in my opinion and are a bit smaller, lighter and cheaper (Non Neo versions that are heavier are starting to be sold off cheaper) - and you get padded covers included!
