Silly Titles

Whilst researching for my new website designs I obviously looked at quite a few different sites. One thing what jumped out at me and I thought strange was the number of people giving themselves 'false titles'.

For example :

Chief Wedding Co-Ordinator
Head Wedding DJ
Sound, Lighting and Entertainment Manager
Director of Disc Jockey Entertainment Services
Sound Manager
Wedding Bookings and Technical Director
Music and Entertainment Specialist

The above were just a few I found. You could tell from the sites they were all obviously small one-man bands.

Question is WHY ?? and do you have any other gems of similar content ?? :D

I'm also the Events & Bookings Manager for Lightning (I like that title) and also the Business Partner.

There are 3 of us at Lightning, not 1, so we need to distinguish between ourselves!! ;)

I was a postie for 11 years and cannot work out where the "Internal" bit comes from. I was outside in all weathers so, surely, that would make it "External"? :confused:

That is the point I am getting at actually. You do a couple of discos a week - why do you need fancy titles. Personally it would put me off, unless of course I was dealing with a large company. Can you not distinguish yourselves by using your christian name :confused:

Well if it's the Jockey part you're talking about, then I may agree with you (but then I've never seen where it comes from, do we ride something????)

If it's the disc part then it applies to most of us. With the exception of those who use SD card readers or solid state drives, isn't everything we play on some form of disc?
