Denon DN-D4500

I have the cance to get a semi-functioning DN-D4500

The issues with it are as follows:

- The Play/paus Buttons need replacing
- The left decks draw mechanism is completely kaput

So questions;

1. Does anyone know a decent Denon repairer
2. Without knowing the cost of repair...how much would you guess at making an offer on it....

There are enough decent second hand ones to not buy one that has been caned to within an inch of its life.
I have known guys with Denons running regularly for 6 or 7 years without failure (bar replacement lasers) so that one must have had a hard life.
The faults you describe mean its probably been very well used and even after repairs the other draw mech is likely to go and then you need to check the lasers as they could well be kaput too.

Thats strange because every venue i know and everyone who uses these rackmounts have mentioned that the play/pause buttons are the first things to go. Its not the actual switch but the rubber that drops to bits....

Quite correct the buttons on the Denon gear fail for a past time.

Thats probably as like myself and the people I know we tend not to knock the living :Censored: out of the buttons. Dynamic - installed in a venue means "not mine so beat the pap out of it".

If you want to buy a broken denon then do so, but I wouldn't as its been battered.

I think I have a DN-D4500 controller in the shed. It's no longer used as I use the cd drawers alongside my hd2500. Last time I used it it was in perfect working order. If it's still there you're free to have it mate, just arrange to have it uplifted. I'll have a look on Sunday if you like?
