Fuse for Powered Speaker - Type?

I've got T1 1.6AL 250V fuses in my new db Opera 405d speakers - as spares theres seems to be:

Anti Surge or Slow Blow - I assume I need Anti Surge - is that correct?

i would have thought you need slow blow
Almost any device with a large mains transformer need slow fuses to cope with startup currents, which can be fairly high. Also, charging the electrolytics in the power supply takes a lot of initial power.

they are often related to as being the same thing but are not,the T on the original fuse indicates time delay or slow blow
slow blow = time delay

anti surge = fast acting

normal = quick acting

FF = Fast Fast. Very Quick Acting. (also known as Anti Surge)


F = Fast. Quick Acting. (also known as Anti Surge)
(Typically open in less than 20 ms @ ten times the rated current)


M = Medium. "Normal" or Very Short Delay.
(Typically open between 50 and 90 ms @ ten times the rated current)


T = Time. Time Delay or Slow Blow.
(Typically open between 100 and 300 ms @ ten times the rated current)


TT = Time Time. Long Time Delay or Very Slow Blow.

:bang: Cripes now I don't know what they are that I've bought but thee is a T on my original fuse on the speaker - so slow blow it is (even though that sounds a bit ooh errr)
