Kingdom Beats are back in business lol, first gig booked for 21st of nov, only a kids party but just looking to get back into the groove so to speak, i have another kids one booked for beginning of dec, both daytime and cheap just to get the confidence back lol.
Basically i aim to do a few here or there over the festive period. Not doing NYE, and then spend the first couple of months of the year rebuilding and getting everything ready for a big advertising campaign in march. anyone got any tips?

Good luck with it.
As for advice; just the obvious really, it takes a while to build it up so be prepared for the long haul. If you can identify and promote a unique selling point...USP it definately helps. I find it is best to sell what you can do and why you are a client's must have DJ rather than where others fail. Lots of patience, hard work and sometimes a bit of luck being in the right place at the right time so all the best with it.

I am very lucky that I have 3 venues that are really good for me. i.e. tonight I was in one of them and I am there tomorrow night too. I asked if I could leave the kit and the manager said he had lots for breakfast in the morning and 120 for the Wedding breakfast tomorrow afternoon so I said not to worry about it and I would take the kit home with me. Anyway at about midnight he came up and said that he had found 2 nice big portable screens that he would put in front of the kit so it was fine to leave it. I finished at 12.30 was off the car park at 12.35 and home before 1am.
That particular venue was because an agency let them down about 6 or 7 years ago and I got out to them and set-up in less than an hour and it turned out a fantastic night cuppled with the fact that they later found out that the agency had put the DJ they should have had in another venue and arranged to send them a :Censored: who was the one that let them down without any reason or notification...worked out good for me though as I have been there ever since.

Welcome back and good luck with the dj business.
You will find at present in our area that there seems to be a lot of last minute bookings plus the usual how much do you charge..................thats far to expensive i can get a dj for less than that.
Any bookings i cannot manage i will pass on your details
