Thanks to this forum I've spent a lot of money :Censored: on updating my system cos I was so jealous of you all :D

this includes Van Damme XLR Cables, Denon Mixer, Opera db 405d speakers etc.

Last bit - cables to connect Mixer to soundcard and backup DDS - is it worth spending on upgrading them and if so what's your recommendation?

The sound output is only as good as the weakest link.
E.g. you could have a super duper amp but its no good if its connected to a cheap pair of speakers.
Personally I suggest you get some reasonable cables as these can help reduce noise getting in, but don’t go mad. You can pay hundreds for some cables. :eek:

not just a boost in quality, but also a more reliable and robust cable, so less likely to go wrong, doesnt mean you shouldnt have spares though of course :)

How are you getting on with the operas?

Using the operas Friday for the first time - chose them in a ' sound off" with RCF and JBLs - suited me and I liked the weight
