I was searching the forums last week and came across a link for a mounting for LCD screens that will fit onto standard Dj tripods.

Cannot find the relevant link now.

Anyone help?

Cheers in advance.

I just have now found this
http://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg02632/bracket-pole-mount-vesa-75-100/dp/ST01595

But I think it won't hold a 32" LCD tv on a stand

I think you are right. That looks like the one I use (although i did pay a lot more than that for it :( ) It only holds up to 10kgs. The screen I use is 8.5kg

Not sure how much this 32" screen weighs not sure mounting it on a tripod will be stable. Might have to re think and mound it from deckstand overhead cross bar instead - are there any brackets suitable for this

See pic #5 here (http://www.forum.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/showthread.php?p=273630#post273630) to see how to adapt an Ultimax open casting (circa £15) to attach a tiltable VESA screen mount (circa £8 - fleabay) using a short length of 20mm box steel (circa £4 B+Q).

Although only 19" screens on this pic, it was rock solid and would easily hold a 32" LCD.

With the right dimension casting these would also sit atop speaker stands making 'display tripods' for karaoke etc.

Dave Booche has these now - he might be able to elaborate.

Sorry, I have not tried any other options, but I am sure someone else on here will be able to help

That's interesting especially as you said it was rock solid to hold a 32" LCD. Thanks may look into it.

I do indeed have the above brackets and i must say they are solid, no doubts they would hold a larger screen then the 19" lcd one's i use on them :)

They screw onto the upright poles (well how i use them anyway) of my deckstand and they are really solid and dont slide etc

When i put them on my (single) crossbar again its solid and i know they are not going anywere :).

If you use the above idea for your uprights etc then to make them even more secure i suppose if you were to have them at a set height all the time you could always drill a small hole through the uprights and then just bolt them on but i cant see any need for this as the brackets i got off Martin (Vectis) are perfect and again are solid mate :)

Cheers Dave :)

Thanks Dave, I like that idea. Might have to knock something up. I do a lot of various metal work as I am a qualified engineer so should be able to adapt something quite easy. I have two screens, one large 32" one I wanted to put up and a smaller 19" one for a singers monitor. I think the 19" monitor should be able to hold on a tripod fine but I was not so sure the 32" would hold on a tripod mounting.
