Crating Song Lists from hard drive

Hi,

I have now ripped the majority of my karaoke disco to an external hard drive.

I want to create a list/catalogue of all my songs. Obviously I dont want to type them all our by hand in Microsoft excel.

Just wondered what software people have had experience in in creating song books and what you can suggest.

Done a quick google search and loads of software came up all varying in price etc..

Airwer Karaoke Songlist Creator is very good. Rather than having to type in the tracks.

This software already has all the tracklists for every karaoke disc. You get updates every month for the software which include the latest disc listings.

All you do is

open the software and tick the disc codes of the discs that you have and it will add the track listings of those discs to your songbook.

I'm fairly sure Media Monkey would do that, but you have to buy the full version,about £15ish.

Excellent will take a look, don't mind paying for the software if it does the job.

I took a lok at that link you gave me John and have downloaded a trial version - obviously being a trial version It would not allow me to import songs from my hard drive but I think the full version dows allow this.

Directory Lister (http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/File_Cataloging_Utilities/Directory_Lister.html) is free, can be exported to both excel and htm

Assuming you've ripped your CD+Gs to MP3+G format, MP3 Collector from Collectorz.com will do the trick:

But I'd also highly recommend Karaoke Song List Creator (KSLC) from Airwer. It's basically just a simple database but it's the easiest list creator I've ever used. Get's full marks from me!

Yeah I've tried a few methods as mentioned above over weekend, doing a list via excel is giving me nearly 600 pages!!! I need to condense it down.

I've tried the trial version of the karaoke song list creator. Just clicked on the discs I have to produce a list. Think I will possibly pay for the full version and go with this
