hi all, im current using this mixer to do discos and karaoke with, i have two quesions about it which i cant seem to find out

1. i am using the four stereo channels two from laptop and two from cd, and then one of the mic channels for mic obviously, just below the inputs for the channels thier is a push dwn swith which says -10 or +4 i have it set to +4 because if its on -10 it clips like hell what does everyone else have this set at?

2. also how do YOU adjust the gain on the stereo channels, because the mic ones have a gain but stereos dont is that correct

1) -10 is a more sensitive setting, according to the manual, so I'd guess +4 is correct.
2) The gain control on the mic channels is to allow you to get the faders into the range you want. I don't see a problem, unless you have the line faders at max or min to get the required level. If the line faders are OK, then set the mic in a similar way, and fine tune it with the gain control.

Basically, if it works, then it's fine. Don't panic, Mr Mainwaring. :D :D
