I got the email too and did mean to post something up on here.

I'm not an expert in the area, but there has to be some serious Data Protection Act issues going on here.

I wouldn't touch it with a BARGEPOLE! :eek:

Just to say, I've emailed them to say that I have Data Protection Act concerns over the service, and asked for a copy of any legal opinion they obtained before starting the venture.

We'll see what the reply is.

Don't forget, it's YOU who will be disclosing people's personal information to third parties, which will leave you open to prosecution!

If you are going to give this service a go, at the very least I would strongly suggest adding something to your enquiry system (eg a tick box) asking for their permission to disclose their information to third parties in the event that you are not able to cover the gig.

Same here, if I am unable to cover something I would rather hand the enquiry to somebody I can trust rather than a company I have never heard of just to make a quick buck. Remember handing their details over and then if they do a bad job, etc. could reflect bad on your business!
