The gig I did last night was great. Finished, packed up, loaded up the car and set off home.

1 minute later pulled up at home.

The venue stipulate all the music is off for 11.45 so I was home tucking into the leftovers from that afternoons Chinese by 12.15.

Does anyone else have a venue closer than that? It's 0.2 miles according to google maps.

I live very close to a rugby club, close enough to walk it in less than 5 minutes, by car it's less than 2 minutes, I love it when I get a booking there!

Darn, you beat me by 6 seconds. Google maps says 45 seconds, 0.2 miles. I'm going to have to move house.

0.3 miles for me.

Funny thing is because of my pricing and shall we say "standard of venues" I very rarely do a gig in cheltenham itself.

0.1 miles and 16 seconds for me - the nearest pub is actually within earshot, I can hear which song is playing at their disco if I have a window open on a Friday or Saturday night.

Living in the country my venues are all about 15-30 mins away. I did one of the best venues near to me at the weekend - a lovely country hotel. Probably 4-5 mins. access - basically pull outside the conferencing room doors - Lovely!!

I so need a residency there asap :)

of course there is the odd bum steer (inaccuracies) of google maps.
Been burned a couple of times.

On the same site as my lockup, there's a barn they hire out for Weddings and I had one there this year. I even used the sack truck to wheel some kit straight from lockup to venue! Still a 10min drive home at the end of the night though..
