Flash!?!?! Good greaf. You sure don't know very much about these things really. =/ Would never make a site in flash no part of it as you are restricting who can see it. Stick with HTML, CSS and some Javascript...

Hmmm just a simple question

Why have you made a thread then if there is nothing come of it yet ?

Makes no sense..............

Shows how much I know - when he said 'Flash site' I thought it meant it was going to be all show-off and fancy!

But again WHY? the thread just seems a waste until you have actually done abit or got a basic design.

A few weeks ago you were asking about a logo and now you are working on a flash site which as already said will be restricted to certain people :(

Lets say this is gonna go down faster than a sinking ship!

Thats what comes up when i try and access it with my mobile devices... With more and more people using them in the home its wise to NOT go down these simple flash site makers...

Tom bit of advice dont try and make me happy as that will never happen lol

But as said flash sites are not the way to go as ALOT of people will not be able to access it and will not be allowed to download the latest flash etc so therefore you are limiting your clients.

Why not seek advice BEFORE trying to make a website ?

I've actually looked at your "New Site" and there is alot of things that would make me NOT carry on looking at your site.

1. The flash update - Why should i update im after a disco
2. The images look a mess
3. The site makes it look like you only cover younger partys,
4. Layout doesn't look good, info everywere
5. Screams FREE to me, even after it says "This site was made FREE with"

Sorry to sound negative but mate come on the logos look a mess and the site isn't shouting out :(

I'll bowout now as i'll let others carry it on.........

will post when i've made some progress on it.

This maybe why your post get so many replies.

As others have said flash is very un-searchengine friendly. Stick to html or php.
I would also not put pics of empty dancfloors. Most clients could not give a stuff about light shows. :)

Looks OK though :) Your doing well.

Re a flash website - don't.

Stick to html or php

There is so much wrong with that statement

:)

A better statement would be to stick with XHTML, CSS and Javascript (with graceful degradation!)

PHP (and most server-side scripting) GENERATES HTML, and is mainly not interactive in the same way flash is.

I've been looking into alternatives to flash recently and have seen some amazing things done in Javascript.

I was thinking that. I do not have time to read through a whole page of text :p what's the difference then? I have a site that has html and php.

All i can say is my site is html and the rankings are through the roof - for popular search terms.
No adwords, listings - nothing

PHP is server side. It spits out HTML that then the browser reads and understands what to display.

Being a tad pedantic, PHP spits out 'stuff' which may be formatted by the programmer to be interpretable as 'HTML' should he/she so choose, as is commonly done.

Or not.

You can use PHP to output data interpretable as Javascript, XML, plain text, MIME-encoded data, whatever.
