Hi guys,

Just thought id introduce myself, after reading this forum for a while i thought it's about time i made a post.

Shockwave is a mobile disco company from Preston in Lancs, currently featuring 3 roadshows and 5 DJ's working between venues. We have a few residencies and 'reccomended' status at quite a few pubs and function rooms.

Mainly here to discuss lighting, as we're investing in moving heads soon, so thats the main reason for post. I look forward to talking with you all.

Cheers,

Lee

Welcome the forum Lee.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding lighting. There are a few users of moving head lighting here, including myself.

Regards,

Jamie

Cheers for the welcome guys.

On a slightly off topic note, does anyone on here ever buy/heard of CPC in Preston? Bit like maplins but cheaper.

Yeah, a few of us use them. Their DJ/Lighting range is a little poor though.

Will, i agree with your comments about the range of lighting being a bit poor, although this year we did stock nearly all the range of Martin Mania effects. I must admit I actually work for them, i was just curious how many people use us for their disco gear.

Hopefully the 2007 catalogue will be an improvement, with a little less emphasis on 'Soundlab', and more towards the JBL's and Mackies.

Ahh, maybe you could explain then despite how many times i ring up and ask for a catalogue, I never recieve one....I know their big beasties, but the CPC website is hopeless for searching unless you know the product number!

They have a new catalouge coming out this month, so I'd email them and ask again.

Maybe it's because you've never bought from them before?

I've spent a fair amount of money with them. 2000m of DMX cables :omg:

I also make purchases through the school I attened/work for, so it makes sense to have one at home.
