Hi Guys

Time for my annual (ish) review and update.

Im particularly keen on improving my SEO (its something that I'm not really that good on) to hit Lake District weddings (its an excellent market, and one that ive definately got tapped into), and generally improve my SEO for the rest of Cumbria too.

All help and criticism is apprecated.

Thanks guys

Steve

Looks fine steve. If I had to pick one fault. It's that the pics in the gallery are too small. especially if you're as blind as a bat, Like me

As above Steve, looks great the way it is. Does it actually work for you the way it is ???

Possibly a bit more colour in your menu - that blue is almost non existent. I think you could afford to go one or two shades darker and still keep the clean look of the site. That's it, that's the only thing I find to pick at! :)

Its gotten to be a bit hit and miss.

Im getting a few enquiries through but not loads, and SEo is a completely alien animal to me.

Just a quick check.

Page 1 listing on google for:
"Mobile Disco Cumbria"
"Mobile Disco Workington" ...but that is the only town where im listing.

"Cumbria Mobile DJ"...page 5 :(

As for "Lake District mobile Disco"

Page 4 :(

Any help on how I can inprove these search terms to get on Page 1 will be much apprecated :)

Right Guys.

Ive started making ammendments and hopefully increasing SEO.

Heres the pages that I've done, and I would apprecate a fresh pair of eyes over the text for the usual spelling and grammatical error :o

Your Title Description:

<title>Dynamic Entertainment - Dynamic Entertainment - Premier Wedding Provider</title>

Any reason for Dynamic Entertainment appearing twice?

Apart from that all the links are search engine friendly and you only need to naviagte through max of 2 links to get any of the content so easy to navigate.

Are you on facebook or twitter or blogging or video ? Can all contribute to google loving!

http://www.dynamic-entertainment.co.uk/Meet-your-dj/Venues.html - spelling mistake venues throufghout Cumbria

Finally.... are you using Google Analytics to find out which pages people are finding your site... and more importantly which ones they are Leaving your site?

Hope that helps... sorry its long

Tom

Meet your DJ page :
'Over time, I have build a reputation,' Should be 'built'

And just a personal thing really. Your home page has a lot of white space underneath.... Maybe put a banner of three images or something there.

the space may as well be doing something for you!

Thanks Tom
Fixed the double "Dynamic Entertainment" and spelling mistake.
Facebook, never thought to link to it. Is there a sp[ecific blue box "F" that you have to use or can you just have one from google images?
Analytics. Had it on the old website...forgot about it for this one :o

Lol. Yeah I know what you mean, but the white space adjusts depending on whats in the widget box ;)

There are loads of options for facebook. You can have one that shows pictures of your follows or just ones that say 'like' etc.

We've just gone for the basic twitter & facebook icons but definitely worth linking as you have them. I just got them off google.

and in regards to white space... as its the first page most people will see... Make the most of it?

Wack it up on your facebook a few times and ask people to click I'm pretty sure that helps?

I got a pro to do it as you know because like yourself I wasn't sure and with things becoming internet based its something if you get right works wonders.

Analytics. Had it on the old website...forgot about it for this one :o

If you have an old Google Analytics account give me the ID and I'll add it to your site when I make the other changes today.

On your Venues page, I'd make them all links to the venues.
