did a karaoke last night at a posh castle. Arrived at 8 to start 8.30.

due to meals being served, we didnt actually start till 9.30. There was only 1 group of 12 people, and another couple in the place.

from the group of 12 people, one woman sung, then 5 minutes later they all left. From the other couple, the man sung 3 times, then they left as well.

At 10.05pm, we packed up.

Total time playing music, 35 minutes. Shortest ever gig for us before that was 45 minutes.

If people want to book and pay for 3 or 4 hours and dont want to use your service then all i can say is kerching. Easy money. Are DJ's going to give a refund for the time they aint worked. I dont think so.

I haven't had anything that bad since Christmas but have had some pretty boring ones, however, last nights Wedding was awsum, its a funny time of year, people just get fed up of eating, drinking and partying...You just can't tell how it will go till you get there. I still have a load of post Christmas parties left, I know the 23rd Jan will be good as its for Tesco and I've done them before and they're mad also 21 Jan for Young Farmers will be wild but some of the others have got me wondering if they'll go ok.

Myself and Peter (Excalibur) was down at Sutton Fields Tavern a busy pub on New years day. Beforehand i knew the Pub was going to be packed before me and Peter got there.

We could have done karaoke there all night because there was high demand to have a go on it. The pub was licensed till 12:00am new years day. Music off at 11:45pm.

Yeah I must admit to 1 of these over christmas. Staff runnign late over dinner so dinner not finished till 10:30 They have speeches and raffle. 11:20 I start with midnight finish and instruction from venue manager not to go past time. You feel guilty and bad for client right up until the point they start blaming you and swearing etc.
