Nothing new there. I have seen dubstep and drum and bass artists using wii-motes as midi controllers using a piece of software to convert the signal to midi notation. Would be good to use at gig for controlling effects and filter sweeps in realtime.

There is even a full body suit available now that converts body movement to midi. Clever stuff. Imagine using that by stepping side to side to activate the crossfader lol
