Now Xmas is over has anyone started making plans for holidays this year ???

We had 4 holidays last year but will be only taking 1 this year due to a new arrival - a dog :)

Looking to probably just book a cottage in Yorkshire for a week in summer and go for walks etc.

Anyone else ??

oh behave, my wife has been driving me crazy for a week or so now about next (sorry this) years holidays, and I come on here and you start this thread, my wife hasn't phoned you has she?:)
not sure what we are doing at the moment, the idea of a big holiday (taking the whole family florida) has gone out the window, because we have a lot to do on the house, so it looks like maybe a spring break to eurodisney, then a summer break somewhere warmish also promised to take granddaughter camping this year, so if anyone got any good sites let me know. oh and now she as just opened a sun £9.50 holiday booking form:bang:

So far the only confirmed thing is the Benidorm trip in April......but then again that's not a holiday, that's networking!

Nothing up to now planned. I might not bother this year. As 2011 in terms of bookings is shocking for me this year.

Depends how things pickup.

These are great for a quick getaway as long as you dont get caught with too many 'upsell' extras!

We are all booked up this year
4 or 5 holidays spread across the year taking advantage of our last year of term time holidays before the costs skyrocket next year!

We are going to Eurodisney in Feb for 4 days and will have a few days away during the summer holidays down the coast.

Apart from the odd day out here and there, that'll be about it for this year.

Nothing planned so far....and feeling pretty guilty about it!

We're getting married in September, so that's eating up pretty much all spare funds. We'll book a short break after the wedding, probably in Italy. However, before we decided to take the plunge I'd booked a surprise trip in February for me and Clare. As it stands, it looks like Clare and I will be having two breaks and the kids none. Trouble is, the only time I can get off from medical school is "factory fortnight", so prices will be sky high.

I Googled "Holiday", but I'm sorry, I couldn't get my head round the concept.

If I can save up a grand to put towards a holiday, then we will go.

Otherwise, the rents can't afford it.

....Well Dad could but he chooses not to spend anything.

You're 17, and you're earning. If I was your dad I'd be choosing not to spend money on a holiday for you either.

We've got a week in Cyprus already booked (in fact I think Nic booked it last June!!!!!) - apart from that i don't think there's much else - We might try and sneak away for a few days at some point - We were (I was informed) going to do the Isle Of Wight festival and I loused it up by booking erasure tickets for Nic on the same weekend!!!! - Donut!!!!

Ah well, Bestival's got the better line-up this year so you might want to consider that instead ;)

Isn't bestival meant to be 'rockier' than the normal festivals (excluding Leeds & Reading)????

Rocky? Nah... It's a 'boutique' festival. Very eclectic. Very different.

I'll be there this year for Brian Wilson, The Cure and Grandmaster Flash.

Indeed. :)

I'm referring to family holidays. We also like to get away as a 'family unit' because it's the only time we seem to spend time with each other 'properly'. We don't do 'eat at the table at the same' etc like some families.

It's about the only time of the year there aren't any arguments too. ;) :p

SO - If I save up my dosh to put towards a 'family break' then we can go. :)

Nice......been there and it was hot including the food. The people are so nice.
If you get a chance to go to Kandy ....go. Wake up in a hotel room with a view on a rain forest and monkey sounds.......superb holiday.

Trying to see a mate in Toowoomba.....but that might have to wait a bit.
