Effects problem on mixer please help!

Hi All,

Can anyone shed a little light on this for me, i just wanna make sure im not doing something wrong or is my nice new mixer faulty ?!?!
I have a behringer 1622fx mixer and it has built in effects i bought this in mind with using it for my karaoke nights but everytime i use the effects ie click them into the mix it works fine for a while then i get a 'white noise' / interference noise ???

Sounds like your mixer.
I have the same mixer and have had no problems what settings do you have your effects on

hmmm cheers 'flatliners' exactly what i didnt want to hear lol
i normally just have a small amount of echo on the mics nothing to serious like and the few times iv used it its been in small venues so not like its been belted ???
