For those of you who don't immediately recognise the name, he was the bassist in 'Japan'.
He died today from cancer. He was only 52.

Anyone out gigging in the coming week, try and squeeze in a Japan track - at least to the background music - if you can ;)

I saw Japan a few times - really shocking when you see people leave us at such a young age.
I'm playing some of their first album now.

Japan were once likened to the beatles by someone at the nme. Obvious comparisons to roxy because of sylvians voice. Karn was a great musician and producer latterly, sad.

went to see them 5 times, have all the albums, (vinyl), so many great tracks from all the albums, they even played ghosts on radio2 half an hour ago......
