Hi all

Myself and a few others are going to the DJ show in Reading this Sunday..... naturally were gonna make a night of it and one of the boys has booked us into a hotel in maidenhead, so the plan is to go back there fater the show then make night of it in the local town....

Question - Could someone with some local experience tell me if maidenhead is a good or a bad Idea please?!??

Many thanks in advance xx

That's bad planning, there's a DJ show in Lacey Green on Sunday too

If thats the case, it is a fair way to Maidenhead from Lacey Green in terms of a taxi fare.
Just checked, it is 16 miles.

Yes I did the same on AA Route planner....

What the plan is though is to drive back to Maidenhead and have a night out there??? What we Rekon? or is it Quiet there?

TBH you'd probably have been better off going to / staying in High Wycombe or Aylesbury for Lacey Green.

But I can't see either of those or Maidenhead being that busy on a Sunday night.

Cheers for the Info - Looks like we're going to have to settle for a good curry house :)

I have previously held a residency in Que Pasa in Maidenhead and it was MENTAL. However, I think the place has closed down.

Sadly not much on in Maidenhead. Your better bet would be High Wycombe, I've covered in the Litten Tree and it's massive. They also have a Pure/Obsession Nightclub too.

Well given the fact the Maidenhead is a small town only marginally bigger than the borough I live in, I'd guess there won't be that many. If you want a good curry, take a 20/30 min drive sown the M4 to Southall or Hounslow.

Knowing High Wycombe reasonably well, my daughter used to live there, I would probably recommend that you visit the Litten Tree first for a few "scoops" or more of :beer1: All the nightclubs would be closed on Sunday night. Then knowing that part of High Wycombe is inhabited by quite a large Indian population, I'd go for a curry around there. Also, it might be worth asking the guys at Lacey Green, they are local and should know the best places to go on a Sunday night!

Would have thought that you could have got a couple of rooms at a Premier Inn/Holiday Inn Express in High Wycombe, which would have saved you on taxi fares, tbh.

thanks for the Info...... Cheap room was the pan however when we tried to book on monday the price had shot up because we were booking within 7 days.

Why the geezer then went and booked us into maidenhead is beyond me :/
