Howdy,

Bit of a weird one.

I'm doing a 60th next week for my ex deputy head/English teacher. I'm really looking forward to seeing the staff 'out of their comfort zone' and in a different environment other than school.

His wife likes tunes like; 'Rock DJ', 'Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin', 'Alejandro' etc etc.

I'm a bit stuck. Any other good tunes, like above that have a modern feel with a good beet?

Americano will probably work well.

Cheers in advance. :beer1:

Doesn't sound weird at all, they sound like normal modern tracks that cross all age groups to me. Add anything else by Gaga, Valerie, Cee-Loo Green, Black Eyed Peas maybe Rihanna & Beyonce if you feel like going more down the RnB route.

I'm really not doing very well tonight. :o

I meant it's 'weird' because it's old members of staff having a drink? The birthday boy is my ex English teacher. I haven't seen him since he shook my hand in June before walking into my English exam. Since, I got a D/F in English and left the school. For me - it will be weird!

Thanks Danno. That's a good starting point :beer1:

I was looking for things a bit older? Perhaps 2000 to 2003?

He likes rock so Kings of Leon & The Killers will be a must.

Thanks Tony.

Any more near the 2000's.

I'm sure I will be fine (worrying unnecessarily for a change) but any more ideas would be appreciated.

Typically I find that most middle of the road chart and dance will a variety of people up including the 50/60 somethings. Remember that they will have sons and daughters probably 30-35 that will dance too

For these sort of parties I refer to my Heart FM / has it been played on a TV talent show scenario which normally keeps things light and middle of the road and then work from there.

Thank you both for those brilliant replies.

I must sound like a right :muppet: because it's all obvious stuff.

I think I'm worrying for the sake of it. I want to get it right. :o

Cheers guys. You're all bobby dazzlers. :D
