Hello fellow forum members,
Over the next coming weeks/months, I am going to be working on the presentation of my set up, I am going to be making a 4ft booth surround to fit nicely around my 4ft Prolight deckstand so it hides all the cabling and flight cases when I am gigging. I will be hopefully be buying a black starcloth with white LED's to cover the booth frontage to give it a clean, professional look to my set up.
Once I have done all the presentation work on my setup, I am going to be buying a active subwoofer to go along with my Tapco Thump 15A active speakers so I can use this system for small to medium venues.
I have been looking at the L2 Audio 15" 400 Watt active sub woofer to add to my active speakers, the reason why I have been looking at this one is because I am looking for something which is quite small and compact because I need to be able to fit it in a 4X4 with all my other equipment. Another reason why I have been looking at this sub woofer because it has a good SPL level reading. I also need to be able to fit the active sub woofer under my 4ft deckstand when in use.
The reason why I am posting this thread is to find out what your thoughts are about this sub woofer and is it going to be worth spending £300 on it?
I am only looking to be buying one of these sub woofers for the time being because I am looking to add it to my 4ft deckstand rig for small to medium venues. If I need to have a bigger sound system, I will use my Peavey Pro Messenger series speaker system powered by a Peavey PV 1500 power amplifier.
I am looking to spend around £300 - £350 for a active sub woofer.
Please feel free to comment below and tell me your thoughts, also, please recommend other sub woofers if you don't this one I am talking about isn't going to be any good for the price.
I hope I have posted this in the right section of the forum.
Many Thanks,
Tom
