Anyone ever made a truss desk?

I'm starting to furnish the new place and something I'm keen to try is a desk made from Truss.
Nothing too complicated, but some thin, light, truss (Trilite??) made into a desk shape with perhaps a standard desk top from Ikea on it.

Anyone ever done something similar, thoughts, tips, suggestions where to get cheap suitable truss from?

I know it wont be to everyones tastes but it could look quite good- a little like the lecturns you often get made from truss (but ideally thinner).

Have a look at the Terralec calalogue. they have (well had) some light truss that may be suitable.

Thanks for the comments- using the Terralec stuff looks as if it will be at least £250- any other comments/hints would be appreciated.

I suppose it all depends on how high you want it and how you want to design it as if it was me and you just wanted a "desk/table" then 4 x 1000mm Truss to sit in each corner and then just your top to go on top (of cause)
