mep7000 and serato not conecting

Hi guys

ok got the mep7000 im trying to put it to serato live demo but it says no hardware can anyone tell me if all that you need is the 7000 and serato live

Serato has certified a select range of new generation controllers with USB connectivity to Scratch Live. This means that Scratch Live can now send track information from the software to the supported hardware on-board displays.
You can also use the platters, buttons and sliders instantly, as supported hardware has pre-mapped controls for a no fuss setup.

So what does this mean do i have to get something else to

Yes. A serato SL1 or SL3 box.

The MEP7000 will control Serato, but Serato will not work unless specific Serato (or Rane Approved) hardware is connected.

I would imagine it would work with Virtual DJ or Traktor as a control, although I dont have one to try.

All i want to do really is be able to find my songs on the bigger screen

and when i press play in the software it plays on the mep7000 i think serato might be to much for what i want do you of any other good ones that have nice interface to them

Any MIDI enabled software will be fine.

if you are going to carry on like this then i wont come here i come here to meet other djs learn abit and try to help others but im not goin to stay around much if i have to put up with you

I have been polite and interested in your topics so I'm not sure what your problem is. You are getting loads of help and all we ask is that you follow the forum rules. If you can't then don't post.

PS, I'm sorry I can't help with your query, such things are way outside my area of expertise. :( :( :o :o I do however covet the MEP 7000, it's a nice bit of kit. Andy ( Deltic ) has one, so he may easily be able to help in this matter.
