I really fancy a couple of these : http://www.djanddiscostuff.com/prodpage.asp?prodid=3489

The main reason is to 'bulk' myself out a bit. However whenever I mention this to people I get negative comments.

So - Yes, No, Don't really know

There used to be a lot of negativity towards them a few years back, but I think they're becoming a lot more affordable and worth the expense nowadays.

Yes from me :D

its an item that has never really grabbed me as looking outstanding. Or somthing I think would make the rig look better.

Why not grab a couple of ropelights to really set them off? Or a couple of fuzzes??
:o

Hate the things, cheap and tacky looking and has no place on my rig.....

I'd like a few of the real flame machines for a home security system!

As for these ones, like most effects, they could look good used in the right setting, and awful in the wrong one.

You should have pointed them to the toilet area:)

Seriously tho Chris, with the work you do I cant see the application of a flame light working.

We have just put a couple on our hire stock and are getting them flightcased. They have had a mixed reaction so far.

We dont take them out on discos though.

Quite interesting results. I keep in contact with a number of brides who have used me for their weddings - I ask their advice.

The overwhelming majority liked the idea of the flame machines

Guess my research will continue ...................

I use them for the party nights in some of my venues during December and at that price might buy a few more.

One would hope the sound of the music playing would hide this ;) :D :D :D

They are not too bad really, heard some at phase one the other day and background noises cancel this out.
