How do I get my homepage to work?

If got a home page designed & uploaded to a server but cant view it in the www address.

Apparently I need to upload an index page?

Any ideas?

just call your homepage index.html

If this is a new domain the most probable reason is due to DNS propogation.

This is the process where the DNS domain name servers on the internet periodically have to add new domains and also for any that have moved hosts, the dns servers log the new IP.

Your host should be able to provide you with a direct link.

Also yes the default homepage needs to be index.htm or index.html
