Sadly my son has decided he wants/needs a break from doing disco’s, the apprenticeship is getting harder every year and he is struggling to find time for course work and to be a 21 yr old, so the decision was made to have a break, that leaves me redundant as roadie,we have just done our last adult party and we have 1 school disco left, I thought instead of just disappearing into the night I would say good bye properly and tell you all what I really think of you.:D
Right moderators ready fastest finger first who is going to delete the thread, just kidding i want to be welcome back:)
So owners of the forum first
I really want to thank you for allowing me into your house, I know you set up the forum to give something back and to move this industry forward, I don’t think you will ever get rid of the illegal guys after some beer money, but you have helped a great many people move there shows forward, and by doing so moved the industry in the right direction, I hope you can look back and see how much and how many people have improved as a direct result of this forum, that should give you a lot of satifaction from that:)
The moderators next
I want you to realise how much the hard work you people put into the forum is appreciated, a lot of the time you must feel like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place, if you delete something your accused of over moderating, if you don’t it’s not moderated properly, or your showing favouritism, well without you lot this forum would not run so smoothly and would have no chance of achieving the goals of the owners, so thank you for everything you have done while I have been part of this place and keep up the good work, next
Charlie brown( i didn’t want to pick anyone out in particular but i hope Charlie takes this the right way)
Charlie, I have watched your progress over the last few years with a lot of interest (you have a lot in common with my son,) you really have done enormously well to get where you are today, and if you play your cards right could go on to some great things(and i hope you do) so please continue to listen to what you are being told on here and keep working hard to achieve your goals, the only obstacle I can see in your way is Charlie brown,(so be very carefull of him:p ) I really hope you fulfil your dreams mate.
Now for the rest of you, it has been a privilege to be part of this community, it has been a lot of fun, as well as educational, and that is down to all you regular posters, so thank you
Can I please appeal to anyone who is not a supporter; it is only £1 a month well worth it when you think what you get out of this place
I will still come and visit occasionally but not so often ( i may be back in 6 months saying we have restarted or to sell the gear, i honestly don’t know which)
So i would like to wish you all the very best, thank you for putting up with me
Andy:wave: :coat:

Andy

Firstly, can I just say 'Thank you!' so much for all your kind words, but I just wanted to reciprocate by saying that you are a valued member, and it's been a pleasure having you here.

I sincerely hope that you won't disappear off into the wide blue yonder: Please do pop in from time to time.... you still have a lot to offer the forum, and can help guide the younger members in the right direction, but - more importantly, it would be nice to hear what you're up to and to stay in touch.

Can you not take over and elevate yourself to DJ rather than roadie?

It is a real shame to lose one of the more level headed members of our community and I for one will miss your posts.

Good luck and don't be a stranger.

Just noticed this...

A) I'm quite shocked! I didn't realise you were a roadie! Wouldn't you like to carry on the DJ'ing whilst your son has some time out?

B) I'm really sad your leaving. :( As the others have said, please pop in occasionally and let us know what you're up too. Like Rob and Gary - you were one of my favourite posters.

C) I wish you all the best and thank you for your kind words. :beer1:

thank you all for your kind words, they are appreciated, as for me taking over, I did consider it along with several other options but decided against it, I have done a couple for friends and really did not enjoy it on my own. I will be lurking in the back ground (keeping an eye on what you lot are up to )and if I can be of any assistance then I will
