View Full Version : Good place to get concert tickets?

I would like to get some concert tickets for Iron Maiden.

Where would the best place to look be?
Its at the O2 arena this year:

Just worried about rip off merchants.

Getting tickets has now become a bit of a lottery. If you are on a bands mailing list sometimes you can get access to a pre-sale. Once they are on general sale the main agent is probably the best place - Ticketmaster in this case. Unfortunately you just have to live with the "extra" charges - booking fee's etc. Once the main agent has sold out you are in very dodgy territory - I wouldn't trust anybody else. If a gig has sold out on this kind of tour there is always a chance another date will be added - stay vigilant and you may get really good tickets.

If anyone has any better tips I'd be glad to hear them too.

That was my worry. they are a big band and will not be touring in the near distant future so demand will be high.

Sold out of course!

There are allot of people on ebay with thousand plus scores at 100%.

agreed this would be a risk but its only £70 a ticket.
i will probably end up in the pub next door :D

I get mine on ebay now - sometimes for a bargain, sometimes full price. Many artists make more money from concert and related merchandising than CD sales they say. I try and see them on the way up or on the way down their career ladder- at their peak its just doesn't seem to be worth the hassle.

If it's with Live Nation, join their press centre and apply for free tickets :D
