UP Uplighting

Sorry for yet another uplighting thread but I read a thread about a venue requiring IP rated uplights due to people possibly spilling drinks on them.
That got me wondering whether I should overall my LED uplight set to IP rated lights for both indoor and marquee events.

My question is does anyone on hear use them and if so how do they get on with them? I would imagine I would need to use the Cee Form plugs and I don’t think these would be easy to hide in an indoors venue.

I am getting a whole set of waterproof ones as kids are getting on my nerves touching the LED'S.
Get the ones with the remote. makes life allot easier when not DMX'd

You can use them outside and they are safe for drink spills and the likes.

Its only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt with these lights and it reaches the press.
You know how the general public are (and insurance underwriters for that matter).

Alot of my kit is on 16amp plug and sockets these days and although they are bigger and bulkier you can sort of hide them at the base of the par cans between the wall and the light....

Sorry, I thought it was but I couldn’t find it.

I've been looking at Lanta and they do an outdoor LED flood with a remote for a reasonable price but I haven’t been able to find the IP rating.

Regardless as to whether you get IP65 rated units or not, you should always use RCDs...just to be safe.

Of course you should always use a 30mA RCD or RCBO, I don’t disagree with this.
