Y splitter leads 2 x IEC to UK plug

IEC 2-Way "Y" splitter lead, UK standard 13amp plug to 2 x IEC plugs.
Length: 1.40m plug to the Y splitter, and each lead is 0.40m to IEC plug.

These are top quality leads with strain relief and a moulded UK plug incorporated into the design. The leads are used, but they are in excellent condition, you wont be dissapointed. feedback from a previous buyer 'these really are like new, great, thanks' I've cleared out my storage unit and found a second box, so another 25 are for sale, when sold, no more will be available. Some of the Y pieces vary slightly in design to the one photographed, but all are essentially the same.

No just these, what I do is to fit IEC sockets to the plug end, thereby enabling me to use my existing IEC - UK plug extension leads, to make any length I require to suit the situation in hand, it works well in practise.

Beware of the version that has a surge protector fitted , identifiable by the fact that the 'Y' section is fitted with a module that carries a small green window and the words 'surge protector' !!!
Such items are not suitable for components such as mixers , amp's etc .
OK for lights and stuff that isn't a sound producing component.

The reason is the components that are used to construct the surge protector are such that they introduce distortion to your sound , as I discovered last year when I purchased a few.

Odd that, because (although not Y leads) I use surge protection on my rig to no ill effect at all. Admittedly it's not the lead that connects directly to my mixer, amps etc (Denon HD 2500, DN-X500 & Yamaha P5000s all have a fixed lead), but the 6 way they're attached to, which is only one step further down the chain. What kit are you using?

I experienced this problem when I used a 3 way lead fitted with surge protection. It was supplying power to a Mackie mixer, an Alesis fx unit and a DBX voice processor.
In experiments with various configurations , I found the same type of surge protector gave similar noisy results when used to power active speakers.
