I received this email this afternoon.

Dear Sir/Madame


I’m getting married on Friday 7th October and looking for a dj. Am getting married at Clandon Park in Guilford, Surrey. A few questions I would like ask are,

are you available on the Friday the 7th October and do you work in the area for Guilford?
What are your prices?
Do you have a smoke machine?
What style of music do you play?
How many years of experience do you have?
What optional extras do you do and what are the prices?

If you can answer my questions and get back to me, that would be great.

The email had all the makings of a spam email , after all I do have a booking form on the web site , and there are plenty of these spam type emails going around , that's why I phoned the venue , expecting them to say "who ?" no sorry , no body booked in that name , but I was wrong , so at first I thought the email was strange , but it turned out to be true :D

Yes ,I am available on Friday 7th October.
All prices are on the web site , the basic wedding disco costs from £***.
Yes , I do have a smoke machine , but these days most venues will not allow them to be used.
With approx 18,000 tracks from the 40`s up the current top 40 , I can play anything you require , a play list is getting more common from bride and grooms , as they can choose whatever music they wish.

Up lighting is a popular extra at £*** .
If you required something special , I would be happy to discuss this with you , as I can source LED dance floors , from local suppliers.

Bit dry on the reply I thought, I'd have responded a bit differently, but we all have our own style.

For example - Smoke machine, (and this is just of the top of my head), 'Yes I do have a smoke machine, I'll check with the venue to make sure it can be used as many don't allow them. As you are probably aware, smoke machines are used to enhance the lighting effects, if the venue doesn't allow their use I do have a range of lighting that is very effective without smoke.'

a good enquiry with an invitation to sell yourself.i don't read anything as being strange about it.

looks to me with a bit of effort could be a good earner and not just a bog std disco.
