follow on from Darrens downsizing topic , this had me thinking about the large heavy boxes I tend to lug around.
Main box is a Road ready 10U over 4U ( 2U usable) slant top case with the following.
Denon X-500
Denon HC-4500
Numark CDN-88 , draws and controller.
Looks good but is heavy.
So I was thinking about the Citronic 8U over 4U ( again 2U usable space) , and getting rid of the Numark CDN-88 , and replacing with .
APart Audio PC1000R CD/Mp3, SD, USB 1U Rackmount Player ,
HERE (http://www.shop.nstage.co.uk/apart-audio-pc1000r-cdmp3-sd-usb-1u-rackmount-player-2079-p.asp), this will still give me a CD player and a back up if needed , maybe use a few SD cards to cover a few Now cd`s and popular songs from the decades , and all a darn sight lighter.
Getting the lighting down to size is a bit more difficult , as I only use an EFX-500 and a pair of Twister 4 `s ( iec).
The thought had crossed my mine if it was worth ditching the over head and buying Darren`s EFX-500 ( now sold ) , and fitting one to each ultimax upright , and to use my winch stand for a couple of other lights.
