I don't. I think it's one of the most over-rated, self indulgent things ever committed to recording.


I'm going to be controversial here but IMHO, with the exception of Over the hills.... the only good stuff he did as with Phil Lynott's involvement.

As a solo artist I think he was extremely over-rated, but as a member of Thin Lizzy... Well....

Saw Thin Lizzie three times in the late 70's early 80's with 3 different guitarists ( Scott Gorham) excluded.

Brian Robertson-The best one by far IMO
Gary Moore-Decent not brilliant ( Always thought like all Lizzie guitarists. He was a Gibson Les Paul man. The videos posted on here suggest different)
Snowy White-Not as good as the first two

Oh and I forgot Midge Ure yes he wasn't too bad either. He was a surprise guest at Newcastle City Hall during the Black Rose tour

appears he went teh same way as Jim Morrison - on his own vomit after heavy drinking session.

Also I liked his early still - I loved him when he went back to his Blues roots, but then again it is well documneted that i love blues
