We've just finished making an ad for our new iPhone app, and I must say. I'm rather proud of it. Was made by myself and JoeAllenPro. (My business partner for many ventures)

Heres the video, i'd love your thoughts.

Ps. Make sure you watch with sound :)

Bloody brilliant!

Really good.

On a serious note...do you offer video editing as a 'venture'?

very catchy - but what is the app and what does it do for the money?

Yep, going OK at the moment.

A quiz, with regular updates and various versions. 59p i'd say it's a bargain.

I have tons of clips/pictures that need putting together to create a snappy 3 minute promo video.

I could do it but don't have the time/patience/experience to pull it off.

Drop me an email with a price if you're interested. :beer1:

How does using that track work for a paid product? Do you have to pay the record label etc...?

How did you get round the copyright on the music or is it a case that because no words are sung you do not need the permission?

Maybe part of some Apple agreement due to iTunes?

Also, great advert!

It's a concept Ad. Not due for broadcast. So copyright isn't a major issue. When we've made ads for broadcast we use our own made soundtracks.

I'm not so sure about that. It's on here isn't it? If you use someone's work then you need permission and need to pay copyright.

Technically I guess you're right. But as long as it's on Youtube and they're happy. I'm happy. We made this purely for practise, we don't intend to use it as actual "Advertising" anywhere.

I'm not too worried.

Spends too much time oh how to download and less on the what it does.

Why do you disagree?

We made a point of emphasising how to download it on the App Store, what to search for etc. A lot of our college students are :muppet:'s.

It's a quiz it doesn't "Do" much, I think it spends plenty long enough on that.

More time spent on the app would mean revealing more questions, which obviously we didn't want to do.

Tbh its like teaching granny to suck eggs! Its wasted time showing off the product. Make up some new questions only for the advert?

That's one saying i've never understood so i'll do my best

That's not a bad idea, maybe i'll do that for future ads, as I've said. This was purely just for fun when we were bored one afternoon lol :)
